What's A Hapa?

ha•pa (hä’pä) n. A person of mixed racial heritage with one parent who is Asian, and one parent who is of another ethnicity.
 
Hapa is a slang term that refers to a person who is half Asian and half something else.  It's a Hawaiian word, actually.  It's not meant to be derogatory and I hope that no one is offended by my use of the term.  Seeing that my husband is Korean, we are hoping to start our family with our own darling little hapa.
