Frustrated and Confused and... Roar

So I had my draw this morning and Estradiol came back at 1054.  So after the big freak out, it hadn't changed at all!  So now I'm to bump my meds back up and see what the ultrasound looks like tomorrow.  By the looks of my E2, things have kind of stalled.

I'm just confused about what's going on.  Things looked so promising the first scan and even my second was good.  Then the blood work got funk.  Is it the Cetrotide?  Should we not have bumped my stims down on the same day I added that in?  Am I going to be stimming for longer than expected?  Are things going to slow down altogether?  Am I'm being a total freak show and just need to chill?  Unfortunately I never think about these things when I have a doctor on the phone - only after I hang up.  Hopefully I have my wits about me tomorrow and I remember to freakin' ask the right questions!  I for sure need to step away from the google machine.

  1. Weird - hopefully the meds being put back up will kick them back into gear?

I'm just jealous you actually get called with your details. I never do! Bleh. I guess every clinic is different.

    Fingers crossed for you hon!

    1. They only really tell me what's up when they need to change something. Otherwise I'm blissfully unaware! I curse when I see the clinic number pop up on my phone!

  2. I think all of it is way too confusing and technical for us to really understand. Write it all down so you can ask tomorrow!

  3. I'm here from ICLW and just caught up a little on your journey. I don't have any experience with IVF, but I am ALWAYS forgetting what I was supposed to ask the doctor when they call me. I actually started keeping a little notebook in my pocket all day on days I'm expecting lab results or to hear from the doctor for any other reason with all of my questions in it. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but it's the only chance I have not to get completely distracted when they call! (Plus I tend to mix up numbers if I don't write them down right away!)

    1. That's a good idea! I always write down the numbers they give me (I swear I'm number-lexic), but why not carry with me the questions I want to ask! Thanks, Amy!

  4. Hi from ICLW #99.

I hate that too! I'm always thinking of a million questions AFTER I leave the office. I'm usually so overwhelmed with information and just wanting to be told good news that my brain just shuts down.

Wishing you the best of luck this cycle. Hope this one's The One!

  5. I'm from ICLW too, and although I have no idea about all the technical talk with IVF meds and stims (yet); I do understand about always thinking of the right questions afterwards! It's soooooooo frustrating! I like the tip about keeping a note book with you, but still it doesn't always help you formulate the right question at the right time.

  6. The google machine is evil but oh so addictive. Not that I can talk but try to step away if you can!
