We learned how to reconstitute and give shots today. Not something that was on my to do list for life, I must say! Our nurse was so friendly and upbeat. She really helped make it not so bad. As did the constant flow of candy on the day after Halloween. :)
So here's the lowdown:
CD 2 or 3: Ultrasound (Can I get an Eww!?!?)
CD 3-7: 5 mg (two pills) Letrozole
CD 7-9: 150 IU Menopur
Ultrasound on CD 12 or 13.
Ovidrel depending on what the ultrasound says
IUI 36 hours later
14 days of Prometrium suppositories
Honestly - the Prometrium bugs me more than anything else. Anyone willing to share some tips on that?
Mr. Right demonstrated some good syringe skills, so I'm feeling good about letting him shoot me. We've got 10 pills and 4 shots in this line up - not too bad.

I'm so excited for you guys! Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'm nervous about the prospect of starting stims for my IVF since my husband is going to be gone training for the first part of it. I have to have a CD3 ultrasound too. Gross!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on this cycle! The prometrium has never been much of an issue for me--I just wear a panty liner. What, specifically, is worrying you?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good protocol! Don't stress about the menopur shots at all, belly shots are cake. And don't worry about the ovidrel either because your Hubs has to do that one! Did they tell you to take it in the arm or butt? It will hurt less in the butt, in the arm it feels like a flu shot (but my doc insists on the arm...) I'm excited for you to get this started!
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts to you on this cycle!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Prometrium did NOTHING to me...no side effects. Hope the same for you :)
ReplyDelete@Rachel, M, and G: Thanks, ladies! :)
ReplyDelete@Megan: That blows, but you can totally do it, girl. You are superwoman.
@Hope: I think it's the discharge factor. Like... any possible stink issues.
@Lindsey: They told us the Ovidrel was in the belly too! Guess I should double check on that one. I'm in a pointless 2WW right now, so I've got some time to figure it out.
